Stora Skuggan’s Thumbsucker draws on the curious pregnancy of Yuvanaswa - unintentionally expecting on the grounds of ingesting a magic potion. Newborn Mandhata - soon to conquer the earth - had to be fed, and so Yuvanaswa’s thumb was slit; releasing not blood, but nectar. Skuggan's blend of fragrances translate this story to scent: marvel as notes of honey and narcissus turn to violet and cherry, then bitter almond and candle wax. Contained in illustrated glass, its top features a curious marbled sphere coloured black and red; one last ode to Yuvanaswa’s bleeding thumb.
